I have been watching, with growing disbelief, as Rahul Gandhi has been pouring venomous statements against the AI Summit, warning of foreign dominance over India’s data and predicting disaster for our IT sector. His rhetoric is alarmist, loaded with fear, and at times, it veers dangerously close to anti-India sentiment. He paints a picture of helplessness, as if our nation is incapable of defending its interests, and he frames progress as a threat rather than an opportunity.

And then, almost immediately after these warnings, reality intervened. The Adani Group announced a historic ₹9 lakh crore investment in AI data centers across India. Not abroad, not in distant tax havens, but right here at home. Suddenly, the narrative of helplessness, the dire warnings about foreign chokeholds and job losses, seems almost theatrical. While some thrive on fear-mongering, others are quietly, decisively, securing India’s future.

These AI data centers are not mere buildings filled with servers; they are the backbone of India’s technological sovereignty. Powered by renewable energy, they will create thousands of jobs, generate billions in ancillary industries, and, crucially, ensure that our data remains within our borders. Collaborations with global giants such as Google, Microsoft, and Flipkart show that India will not simply consume AI, it will develop it, control it, and export it. Our technological future is being actively built, while opposition rhetoric lingers on warnings and speculation.

The timing could not be more telling. One day, Rahul Gandhi delivers venom-laden warnings, implying that India is surrendering its digital destiny. The next, India’s AI infrastructure receives a historic injection of investment, scale, and vision. Alarmism meets action, fear meets foresight. History rewards those who build, not those who predict doom, and in this case, the builders are already at work.

I find the contrast striking. Rahul Gandhi’s speeches are intended to stir anxiety, to create the sense of a nation under siege. But actions speak louder than words. The Adani Group’s commitment is more than financial; it is a statement of intent. The contrast between Rahul Gandhi’s warnings and Adani’s action could not be starker. Where one sees threats, the other sees opportunity. Where one spreads doubt, the other builds infrastructure.
